As discussed in our private emails, the Tariffs costs are new additions to customs policies as per the US government and while you may have had a different experience in the past with other companies, policies have recently changed and many small businesses are unable to correct prices for customs and there are additional charges because of this.
In the past, the des minimis clause made it so customs on certain order costs were not charged.
This has been our experience as a business and these new tariff costs have only been an issue within the last few months and we never had issues with US customers before this. So, your change in experience is likely due to the new governmental policies rather than other small businesses doing things differently.
We are truly sorry that you've had a negative experience and despite attending to a critically ill family member during the holidays, we took the initiative to contact your shipper on your behalf to try to sort out your package situation and confirm the location of it.
All of the products are also tracked and tracking was sent out to you.
The reason why some items ship separately is because you ordered some items that are drop shipped.
Truly sorry that you feel there was a lack of transparency but each issue you reference is outlined in our shipping and return policy, as well as being directly linked at checkout and listed in the Clearance/Sales collection description.
As a small business, we are doing our best to respond to the Tariffs put forth by the US and we totally understand the frustration with the extra costs but encourage you to keep in mind that the frustration you have with those costs actually lies with your government because small businesses do not have control over those charges and they are also negatively impacting business because of customers such as yourself negatively reviewing small businesses over an issue that is out of our control.
Once again, we recommend looking into your customs and tariffs policies from your government because the reason why you were not charged customs in past is likely due to the change with the des minimis charges which is VERY recent change within the last several months.
