Creating A Paradigm Shift In Horsemanship: My Journey With Milo

In this webinar, I will go over the journey I have had with my horse, Milo, a horse that I adopted from a local rescue 11 years ago when he was just 2 years old.

Milo has been a profoundly influential teacher for me and has been the catalyst for a lot of change in my approach for horses.

This webinar will go throughout the stages of our journey and discuss the methods, equipment, supplements and more that I attempted to use to address his behavioural problems and the results that I found.

I will talk about my previous foundation with horses and how previous belief systems influenced my decision making as well as the difficulty of navigating finding help within an industry that is often largely unregulated and with many many different opinions.

It will be an all encompassing look at the impact of training, management, hoof care, equipment use and general behavioural knowledge and how and why I shifted aspects of my belief systems.

It will paint the nuanced picture that is the struggle of being a horse owner who has ultimately good intentions, but can get it wrong in their journey of solution seeking, and the difficult nature of navigating the guilt that can come with that.

It will also be a deep dive into horse behaviour where we will analyze the many many photos and videos I have taken of Milo over the years and the shifts in his expression and identifying both the overt and the subtle behavioural patterns.

My hope is that this webinar can help people who are at similar stages within their journey and provide a safe place for discussion regarding the work with difficult horses, while offering insights and resources to seek.

It will also serve to help people familiarize themselves with horse behaviours on a more intimate level by looking at the expressions within the same horse in depth.
